What do you mean by Recreational Dance School?
The majority of our students participate in multiple activities besides dance class.
Our teachers are educated, experienced and follow a professional curriculum.
Our students learn proper dance technique in a professional studio setting.
My child has no prior experience, what class should they take?

Is there a Monthly class option?
Our classes run thru the school year (Sept-June) but you pay by the month. If you decide you do not wish to continue, you may withdraw at any time by emailing ErinKReilly@yahoo.com. You are responsible for all payments until you withdraw in writing and there are no refunds for payments made.
When are your classes? When can you register?
Our regular school year session runs September-June. Classes meet 1x a week for the 10 month session. Registration opens in the summer, classes start in September. IF there is room, you can register for classes after they start. We have limited class sizes currently. We do have waitlists incase the class gets full. We do also have Pop Up Classes, Workshops and Summer Classes.

How much does it cost to register? How do you pay?
There is a one time annual registration fee. Tuition is paid monthly via auto draft. Tuition rates vary based on style, day, level so its best to come try a class free and go from there!
How you can pay?
For Drop In's or Walk In's you are welcome to pay with cash, check payable to The Dance Factory or via Venmo @ dancefactoryma. Monthly payments for tuition are made via out auto draft.
What is an AP Class?
We are mainly a Recreational Dance School, but for students who are looking for a more serious dance class, we have an Advanced Placement Program (AP). These classes have prerequisites, required skills needed and they participate in local competitions or other performances.

What does my student need for dance class?
All students need to wear appropriate dance wear. Hair must be up out of face and no jewelry. Girls can wear any color/style leotard or bodysuit. Long or short leggings, yoga pants or tights are acceptable. Boys can wear any comfortable athletic wear that doesn’t hinder or distract them. Adults can wear any athletic wear that they feel comfortable in! Specific shoes are needed for each class, we will let you know what you need at registration.
ABSOLUTELY NO STREET SHOES on the dance floor, DO NOT wear dance shoes outside.
Do you offer a discount for multiple classes or multiple students? YES! We have a Multi Class / Multi Student Discount.
Do you have a Family Max Payment? At this time, we do not.
Can I pay for the entire season up front? Is there a discount?
Yes, you can pay for the entire season up front. At this time we do not offer any discounts for paying the year in full up front.
What about the Recital Costume?
For each class a dancers takes, they will need to pay $85 for a Recital Costume. This payment is not due at the time of registration, more info to follow. You may pay cash or check.Ms Reilly will measure, size all dancers and order all costumes. Some costumes may need minor alterations, which you are responsible for paying for.
Ms Reilly is a professional at measuring and sizing. If you feel your costume does not fit, you will pay a restocking/second shipping fee of $20 for another costume in addition to $85 for another costume and run the risk of it not arriving in time.
When costumes arrive, you are responsible to take your costume home and keep it safe. If you register late, you may have to pay a separate shipping fee of $20.
Do I have to participate in the Recital? Do I have to buy a ticket?
Yes and yes. With the exception of our Summer Classes, Pop Up Classes or Workshops all our classes and students participate in our recital. For safety, EVERYONE (dancers, parents, adult dancers) must purchase a ticket. Tickets go on sale in the spring time and are sold at the studio. You can pay with cash or check.
What’s your recital like?
Our Annual Recitals ae held at The VETS at 1 Avenue of the Arts in Providence RI. We have a Dress Rehearsal the night before dancers arrive at designated time slots to run thru the show in costume. For the Recital, everyone (including the dancers and parents) need a ticket, which can be purchased at the studio in the springtime. Dress Rehearsal is closed, each dancer is allowed 1 adult to come with them. No siblings or extra people are allowed at Dress Rehearsal. There is one show, it runs about 2.5 hours with an intermission. It moves quickly and efficiently.
Are you multilingual?
Our staff primarily speak English. We will do our best to help you, but its helpful if an adult in your household can speak English.
Do you have Special Needs Classes?
Although we do not have specific “Special Needs” type class, we happily accept all kinds of people. As long as students can follow directions and participate without disrupting the class, everyone is welcome. See Ms Reilly for details.
What if I don’t want to continue my class? How do I withdraw?
If at any point you want to withdraw, you must notify The Dance Factory in writing, you can email Ms Reilly at ErinKReilly@yahoo.com You are responsible for ALL payments until you notify us in writing. You must withdraw before 3pm the last business day of the month in order to not be charged for the next month. ALL payments are NON REFUNDABLE. No exceptions at all.
